Dimitar has been coaching at the top professional level for almost 20 years. He has been a Head Coach for the Weil Tennis Academy (Ojai, CA) for over 10 years. Before this, he was a coach at the Maleeva Tennis Academy, a Tournament Director for the Bulgarian Tennis Federation, and a Management Director for the Academic Tennis Club (Sofia, Bulgaria). He has been ranked among the Top Four Juniors in Bulgaria and has been a professional USPTR since 1993.

He graduated from the prestigious Bulgarian National Sports Academy with a master's degree in Physical Education and Sports Management.

Dimitar has been coaching and working with some of the top ranked national and international junior players, among them: Sesil Karatancheva (Top 40 WTA and French Open Quarter Finalist), Ksenia Milevskaya (Top 200 WTA, 2007 #2 ITF), Nolan Bauer (#1 Southwest Section B14s, Top 40 US B14s), and Grigor Dimitrov (#1 ITF B18s, 2006 Orange Bowl Boys 16s Singles champion, 2008 Jr. Wimbledon champion, and 2008 Jr. US Open Singles champion).

Sara Scott grew up in El Paso, Texas. She came to California on a tennis scholarship to UCLA from 1999 to 2003. Played number 1 and was the team captain 3 of her 4 years there.

Sara is Pac-10 Singles Champion - 2000; Pac-10 Doubles Champion - 2001 and Pac-10 Freshman of the year. In addition, she was All American Singles for 4 years and received 2003 National Sportsmanship Award. Sara graduated from UCLA with a degree in Sociology.

After college, she played on the tour from 2003 to 2005. After this, she became an Interim Assistant Coach at UCLA under Stella Sampras. Then she was a Head Coach at Crossroads Middle School in Santa Monica before moving to Thousand Oaks to work for Top Seed Tennis Academy. In 2008, having her first baby, Sara moved to Carpentaria.

Geoff brings to Oceanside School of Tennis some 30 years of teaching and coaching experience. First certified by the USPTA in 1977, he went on to be Head Trainer for the W.C.T. International Tennis Academies in Cala D’Or Mallorca and Playa Jandía, Fuerteventura, Canary Islands (Spain). He later became Tennis Director of the America Embassy Club in Bonn, Germany, where he trained future German ATP and Davis Cup player Marc-Kevin Peter Goellner. Geoff was awarded by the Sportgemeinschaft Deutscher Bundestag honorary player status on their Parliamentary Team. As a member of this team, he was a finalist in the Apollinaris Cup in Bad Neuenahr. Presently, Geoff is also the tennis coach for boys and girls at Laguna Blanca Prep School.

Tiago was on a full tuition athletic scholarship at Westmont College, from where he graduated with Bachelor of Arts in Economics & Business. He worked as Tennis Instructor for Guy Fritz Tennis Camps (San Diego, CA) and for Westmont College Tennis Camps (Montecito, CA).

Tiago is fluent in Portuguese, English, and Spanish and has basic skills in German and Japanese.

Dr. Brisby graduated from UCLA in 1984 with a B.S. in Kinesiology (study of human movement). While at UCLA, Dr. Brisby worked for four years with the UCLA Sports Medicine Department as an athletic trainer. In 1986, Dr. Brisby passed the national certification test to become a Certified Athletic Trainer (A.T.C.). In 1987, Dr. Brisby graduated from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic with a Doctorate in Chiropractic (D.C.). Since 1987 Dr. Brisby has practiced in his Chiropractic Sports Medicine clinic. From 1994 to 1998, Dr. Brisby was the Medical Director for the Celebrity Golf Association and in 1995 his clinic was recognized by the United States Olympic Committee as an Elite Athlete Clinic.

In 1997, Dr. Brisby passed the National Strength and Conditioning Association test to become a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (C.S.C.S.) and also began his personal training business. In 2005, Dr. Brisby became the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the UCSB Men’s Basketball team. In 2008, Dr. Brisby opened The Training Room clinic.

Playing to win instead of not to lose, dealing with nervousness, using beliefs and self talk, visualization, projecting a confident body language, focus and concentration, pre-match preparation, and goal setting – these are all areas where Henrik provides specific tools in order to become a peak performer and being able to be “In The Zone On Demand,” both on and off the court.

With over 76,000 coaching hours in the areas of Peak Performance and Leadership, Henrik walks his talk – Literally. Paralyzed from his chest down in 2007, he was told by his doctors that there were a 99.5% risk that he would never walk again. In what became The Ultimate Case Study, Henrik was instantly forced to “walk his talk” and use the peak performance tools he had already been teaching for years to athletes and business leaders. Defying the odds and learning how to walk again, Henrik is an in demand speaker and coach, conducting programs throughout the US and Europe. He was also awarded Outpatient of the Year by the US Congress.

A key member of Santa Barbara High School’s tennis dynasty in the early 90’s, Henrik went 42-0 as a freshman and captained the team in his senior year to a historic 18-0 team win in the CIF Finals. After graduating from UC Santa Barbara, Henrik worked and traveled with Hall of Famer Jimmy Connors for five years.

Henrik has also spent extensive time coaching peak performance in Barcelona at the Sanchez-Casal Academy working with Hall of Fame coach William “Pato” Alvarez, who coached Andy Murray and Illie Nastasee among others. He is a USTA High Performance Coach and a Professional Tennis Registry Professional who conducts peak performance coaching workshops for coaches throughout the United States.

Bryan graduated from U.C.S.B. in 1996 with a B.S. in Biology. While at U.C.S.B. Bryan worked for the Sports Medicine Departments for U.C.S.B. and S.B.C.C.

In 1997 Bryan began working with Dr. Brisby as an athletic trainer and personal trainer. In 1998 Bryan passed the National Certification test to become a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC).

In 2000 Bryan became the Head Athletic Trainer for San Marcos High School, a position he currently holds.

• Our junior clinics are now certified for independant PE program.

• We have openned a new training site located at Montecito Country Club, 920 Summit Road, Santa Barbara, CA.

• Our first alumnus is Brigita Bercyte. She was admitted on a full scholarship in Wake Forest University (North Carolina).

• We are enrolling new advanced players for the 2011/2012 Tennis Academy program. All candidates have to demonstrate advanced skill levels and determination.
